Each year on the Satur- day after Thanksgiving, lake residents gear up for the Christmas holiday by hosting Christmas in Kernville hosted by the Kernville Chamber of Commerce. Said Orion, “We will have toy drive car run. There are a lot of people who come out of their house and donate toys, so that’s really fun.” Santa Claus will also appear in Circle Park located in the middle of Kernville. The park is decorated in a festive fashion each holiday season and serves as the hub of the holidays. Sarge’s Veterans Day Poker Run For the first time in 2022, Sarge’s Veterans Day Poker Run was held at the Kernville Saloon. Although the run has al- ready taken place, there is still time to help purchase Christ- mas wreaths for all veteran graves located in the area. To purchase a wreath for a veteran, visit wreathsac- rossamerica.org/cakrvc and wreaths will be delivered directly to the cemetery. Wreaths cost $15 and are produced by the Worcester Wreath company located in Maine. Wreaths are ordered through Wreaths Across America.
