2026 Scenic 395 33 Bishop By Gigi de Jong Scenic 395 Contributor The Bishop Chamber of Commerce and Information Center is beginning an exciting new chapter following a move to a new, easy-to-find location at 218-A S. Main St. at the southern entrance to downtown Bishop. In this fresh, updat- ed, and welcoming space that reflects the community’s spirit, guests will find the same friendly faces, the same wealth of knowledge, and the same commitment to making Bishop the best place to live, work, and explore. For more than 50 years, the Chamber and Information Center greeted travelers from its iconic A-frame building in Bishop City Park. Generations of adventurers, climbers, anglers, fall-color seekers, and families stopped at the beloved little lodge-style building to pick up maps, ask questions, or simply get their bearings. Its charmmade it a favorite among visitors and locals alike. That legacy is guiding the move forward. The location may change, but the heart of the organization never will. The Chamber’s dual mission has always been at the core of its work.
