Under the ownership of the Spradlin family (Steve, Mary El- lyn and Shawna) the eatery has been refurbished and is among the finest in the Kern River Val- ley. It’s well known for the “break- fast spot” in Lake Isabella. But what has been added is the big story. A real, down to earth, dinner house. The new addition is called Dick Weed’s Pub ‘n Grub – named for an old time miner and Kern River Valley character. Just off the main breakfast restaurant, the old store has been remodeled and features a look of the past with wood and metal. Make any old time miner happy. It will make you journey through the past as some top rated grub comes your way. Hear tell that manager Shaw- na has a few “spirits” for sale, too. The Spradlin family has all of your needs covered, too. Across the street is a gas/convenience store (Crossroads); down the blvd is Isabella True Value; out Mount Mesa way are Saddle Flask, another gas and conven- ience store, and Builder’s Mart. Yep, head to Lake Isabella and the Spradlins have you covered. SUBMITTED PHOTO the Dam Korner in Lake Isabella has been fully re- modeled, and has added Dick Weed’s Brews and Grub.
